2. Stress Relief: The relaxation techniques such as deep breathing incorporated into yoga have been proven to alleviate chronic stress patterns, "[relax] the mind, [center] attention; and [sharpen] concentration," according to osteopathic.org. Who wouldn't want that?
3. Signs-of-Aging Prevention: This form of exercise works not only your body, but your mind and often involves an element of connecting breath to movement, strengthening through the base of your body and movement to increase flexibility, in addition to meditation. It should be thought of as a preventative approach to the signs of aging we all experience, and while it's perfectly natural, we should continue to improve our minds and bodies so we can all enjoy a long and fulfilling life.
4. Body boost: Did you know that yoga also strengthens and tones muscle, helps with weight loss, protects your body from injuries and balances your metabolism? Yoga can also help "lessen chronic pain, such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome... lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia (Osteopathy.org).”
